Providers that have an agreement with Workforce Solutions must meet the following qualifications:

A listing of all licensed and registered child care providers can be found through the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.  In the drop down box for Operation Type, select All Center Based Care.  Then scroll down and choose the county you are searching for care in.  To check if a provider has a contract with Workforce Solutions Golden Crescent, you need to check the Accepts Child-Care Subsidies box before submitting your search.

The Texas Government Code §2308.3171 defines a “quality child care indicator” as any appropriate indicator of quality services, including if the provider:

•  Is a Texas Rising Star (TRS) certified provider

•  Is accredited by a nationally recognized accrediting organization approved by the Texas Workforce Commission

•  Is Kindergarten Ready System (KRS) certified;

•  Is participating in the Texas School Ready! (TSR) project

Boards must provide information on child care providers that meet any of the quality child care indicators for each licensed or registered child care provider in their workforce area to parents applying for or receiving subsidized child care services and to the public.
