7 counties of the  Golden Crescent RegionThe Workforce Solutions Golden Crescent Board serves as the governing board for the regional workforce system, a network of service providers and contractors that brings people and jobs together in the seven-county Golden Crescent region. Our membership reflects the diverse constituencies of the regional community: business, economic development, education, labor, community organizations, and government.

The Golden Crescent Region is less than two hours from the major cities of Houston, San Antonio, Austin and Corpus Christi and has a population of 183,000.   Of the counties, Victoria County is the largest and has a population of 85,648 and is located in the center of the region.   There are a total of eight One-Stop Workforce Centers in the Golden Crescent Region, serving the following counties:  Calhoun, DeWitt, Goliad, Gonzales, Jackson, Lavaca, and Victoria.

To address evolving employer and resident needs through workforce development initiatives and partnerships, resulting in a skilled and educated workforce and a dynamic economy for the Golden Crescent.

VISION STATEMENT
Business, education, and labor communities working together to respond to employer and resident needs through a shared commitment to an efficient, innovative, and locally administered employer-driven workforce development system.

GOAL
To continue to build a service delivery system in which local businesses are active partners in developing training and other related services.
